A new podcast will be up soon, however, when it comes to audio quality, it's not quite up to par with the rest of our podcasts.
Here's what happened.
After all the setting up, sound checks, etc..., we recorded the first 23ish minutes of our podcast, and then we decided to take a break. After the break, we recorded the rest of the podcast. What we didn't realize is that we must have bumped into the mixer or mic cable, so my (D-VO's) mic wasn't working for the rest of the podcast. Luckily, CT was giving us his story that he had, which filled most of the space. You can still hear me in the background making comments, but the main story teller (CT) had a working mic, and I guess that's all that matters.
We thought of a couple different solutions to fix this, such as both of us re-recording that section, or just having me re-record where I was talking. Neither of these were satisfying though, because they didn't sound genuine. We are not a scripted podcast, and we really don't want to sound scripted. So, we're leaving it as it is.
To be blunt, we failed, but we have gained some wisdom through this, and that's what we're all about.
So keep your eyes and ears out for our upcoming podcast where you get to hear us failing while we talk about others failing.
